PREVIEW OF LIFE WITHOUT BOEHEIM?

School starts today for Syracuse University students and the SU frosh are busy getting their college oprientation. However, they are doing all of this with head coach Jim Boeheim thousands and thousands of miles away as an assitant for Coach K with the USA Basketball senior men's team at the FIBA World Championships. SU Carries on Without Boeheim (Syracuse Post-Standard) and this has been ongoing as Boehiem's dutues with USA basketball kept him busy for much of the July evaluation period. The July evaluation period was mostly used by the SU staff to get a head start on the class of 2008 since they had secured commitments long before from Donte Greene, Johnny Flynn, Rick Jackson, Antonio Jardine and Sean Williams. Don't expect SU to miss a beat at all...Mike Hopkins and Bernie Fine have been at this for SU a long time.
